Free First Thursday

This Thursday marks the first ‘Free First Thursday’ of 2011.  (that was a fun sentence)

Have you gone out for F1Th?  There are so many fun things you can enjoy, but non-buyer beware, good free things = big crowds. I like that F1Th can introduce you to a museum or gallery you may have not thought of visiting and then when you find that you love it, you can go back and enjoy it without the crowd. Or if you want to bring your young kids to the art museum but are worried they might make too much noise for other viewers, this is a great day to go. You certainly won’t be the only loud one in the building.

Here’s a list for you to peruse.  I’ve highlighted my favorites.

Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture
Experience Music Project
Henry Art Gallery
Museum of Flight
Museum of History and Industry
Northwest African American Museum
Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame
Seattle Art Museum
Seattle Asian Art Museum

Wing Luke
Museum of Glass in Tacoma
Kidimu Children’s Museum on Bainbridge Island

First Thursday Art Walk
in Pioneer Square & Downtown Seattle
